Though the D23 Expo 2019 has now conclude, a flurry of perspectives about the official Disney fan event are emerging. Among the individuals who lend valuable insights are writer and YouTube personality Mr. DAPs from DAPS Magic, as well as author Kyle Burbank of The E-Ticket Life and LaughingPlace.com. Mr. DAPs discusses much of the cool programming at D23 Expo he was able to attend, whereas Kyle sheds light on what it is like to be a vendor in the Emporium!

He also discusses some of his forthcoming Jungle Cruise-related writing endeavors.

James relays how his dissertation provided him with the foundation of exploring adult audiences' perceptions of and connections to Disney films, helping lead to the creation of this book that highlights nearly 400 Disney films. James discusses the monumental task of cataloguing information about all of these movies in the book, as well as the insights he learned about what adult audiences most enjoy (and take issue with) in Disney movies.

In this second installment, we cover his work for Marvel (Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming), Star Wars (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Pixar (The Incredibles films, Ratatouille, Up, Cars 2, Inside Out, Coco). We also make note of some of his short film projects for Pixar, as well as list our five favorite Giacchino scores.

Michael Giacchino is not only one of the most celebrated film composers of our day, but also has extended his talents to a variety of entertainment platforms, from television and video games, to the theme parks and other projects. Understandably, there is a wealth of content to cover. In this special first part of a two-part edition of Notably Disney, musician and film buff David Glantz joins me to honor the man behind the music.
Recognizing Michael Giacchino's involvement in The Walt Disney Company for the past 25 years, we first note his work for television (Alias, Lost, Six Degrees), theme park work (Space Mountain, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue), and Disney-branded films (Sky High, John Carter, Tomorrowland, Zootopia). The second part will explore his scores for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Pixar films like The Incredibles and Inside Out.
